Pincer Nail
Pincer nails are a condition where you have an overly curved nail plate especially of big toes, but the other toe nails can be affected. The deformity of the nail can be overlooked if you do not have any pain. But if it becomes painful, medical attention can be sought. It is occasionally hereditary, but the majority of the cases are acquired, and can be attributed to the patient’s walking behavior or tight footwear if the medical findings indicate otherwise.
Ingrown Nail
Ingrown nails are a condition where you have a toenail corner grown into the side of the skin flesh of the toe. This condition usually affects big toes. This may accompany pain, redness of the affected area, and can cause infection and granulation tissue (red flesh) formation. The most common cases are improperly groomed nail or tight footwear. Ingrown nails can exist with pincer nails.
Method of treatment
①Pincer Nail Treatment with Artificial Nail Synthesis (NAORUN)
This treatment uses glass-filled resin to fixate the ingrown nail back to its original shape by utilizing the natural curvature of the nail root (where the nail emerges). Unlike the conventional treatment using acrylic resin, an artificial nail made from glass-filled resin has increased durability and stronger adhesion to the toenail. Due to this characteristic, people enjoying sports can also be treated by this method without hindering their ability to engage in physical activity.
